WHAT TO VISIT IN ESTE
Este is a walled town, its origins dating back to the Iron Age, when it was inhabited by the
ancient Paleovenitians.
If you want to get more in-depth into the history of the town, why not visitingt the
Atestino National Museum, the Carrarese Castle and the Cathedral, where a magnificent altarpiece by
Giambattista Tiepolo is kept ("St. Tecla pleads with God Almighty for the town to be freed of plague in 1630"), the ancient Church of St. Martino and the Church of St. Maria delle Grazie.

WHAT TO VISIT ON THE EUGANEAN HILLS
The
Euganean Hills are a group of hills of
volcanic origin rising from the plain south-west of Padua. Since 1989 they are part of the
Venetian Regional Park and offer the ideal habitat to an amazing number of animal and plant species. Several walking and cycling trails run through the hills, the most famous one being the
Transeuganea.
The brand new
cycle route E2 has only been recently created and will let you stroll through the hills on a 70-km long tour.
The Euganean Hill area boasts the production of outstanding
wine and olive oil. If you have an interest in wine and food tours, please do not hesitate to ask the hotel staff for more information and advice on the best wine cooperatives and oil mills in the area.
